I hate giving a poor review only because the lady who took my reservation and checked me in was so nice. However, KOA sold this campground some time ago, and it looks as if the place hasn't been touched in years. There is nothing but brown dried up weeds all over, and grounds are literally falling apart. The rigs that the permanent residents live in there are about the same; falling apart. There are no amenities, the dog walking area was loaded with poop, and my site was so narrow there was not a lot of room to do anything. Dogs from the other side of the park barked continuously, and the office was old and run down. I didn't use the bathrooms or showers as the water and electricity at my site seemed to work okay. After a search I located the sewer port at my site. This place is definitely in need of a makeover which I'm sure would cost a fortune. I paid $42 per night, and it really wasn't worth the money.

Staff was very friendly and helpful from the time called for reservations til we left. Showers and bathrooms are clean if a little dated and in need of minor repair. The place is old and not used much so I doubt there is enough cash flow to renovate. So, yes the grass is mostly dead but we were there in the high of summer. There is a fairly sketchy trailer park between the camp and the road. I can't really blame the camp for that though. There are some long term residents and dogs who are very willing to bark. Some of the residents were fairly loud as well. But no one bothered us directly and our site was left unattended all day since we were here for a convention. None of our stuff was moved or missing but it IS a little disconcerting to have the manager tell you not to leave valuable items out unattended. Im willing to admit we may have been a little lucky in that respect. So I have two grades for them. If you are looking for a place to camp, enjoy the outdoors, and sit around the fire for recreation: F. Not even close. In town for a couple days and need an inexpensive place to crash: A-. I had no issues with the staff, facilities or neighbors considering I got exactly what I needed for a price I was happy with.

It would probably be an ok place for an overnight stop, but not for any longer than that. The campground is in need of a major overhaul. In the men's bathroom, 3 out of the 4 sinks do not work. Wall paper is coming off the wall and one of the latches on the first bathroom stall door is broken. Lots of gravel and weeds on the campground itself. The office hours aren't always followed - sometimes someone is there, other times not. Definitely needs improving!

This place is an absolute dump. Not well maintained at all and quite a few people look like they're living there (in beat up rigs). The surrounding area is scary looking and is a low budget trailer park. I didn't feel safe here. We just spent the night and didn't even unhitch from the truck.

We got into Helena late at night and needed a place to crash. The yard keeper (a nice lady) called management and they let us pull our Tahoe in and use all the amenities. It was quite, friendly, and an amazing experience!
