Story

Philadelphia's premier comedy club, bringing great talent to an intimate theater. Patrons can enjoy live comedy from a national headliner performing no more than 60 ft away. The show will last about an hour and forty minutes and will include an opener, a feature, and a headliner with national TV credits. Helium is a non-smoking facility where patrons can enjoy a full service bar and kitchen providing delicious appetizers in a relaxing atmosphere.

Wow. Great place. Comedians I seen here are always funny. Never ever been disappointed. They have two bars, both in very great condition. Also staff is very friendly, they are quick to get you the food and drinks as you watch the entertainment. Very peaceful and intimate there. Always look forward to go there.

Thursday through Saturday headliners are always top notch, and openers range from OK to great. Table service is great, but there's a 2 item minimum (on top of the entrance fee). First come first served seating. On full nights you get packed like a sardine and if ur late the seats in the back tend to suck. Drinks and snacks are just OK, and not cheap (but not killer), but wherever you end up sitting you will be laughing too hard to care about anything else.

Always a fun time at Helium. Two item minimum in the showroom so leave some room if you're having dinner beforehand.  Drinks are well done, food is as expected for a place that's not a restaurant. Comedy is always funny and the staff are accommodating.  Showroom is cozy, very few bad seats.  Get there a little early to be seated closer to the stage or spring a few more bucks for VIP tickets.

We went to see Bob Marley, great show! Drinks a bit overpriced.  The worst part was the setup for entering the seating area, it was unorganized and uncontrolled. If you line up as instructed against the wall leading in from the front you will watch as all the people who didn't and just kept hanging out in the bar area stroll in ahead of you as there is no employee supervision or roped off line to control the flow of traffic. All and all though a nice venue and we had a great time.

The show would've been awesome. It's a damn good thing the sound system was great because they seated me on the far end where I literally COULD NOT SEE the stage. It was incredibly disappointing, considering that I paid to see the show just like everyone else. Seriously bad form on the part of Helium. They need to fix their seating arrangements ASAP because it's not cool to make paying customers suffer just to squeeze a few bucks out of extra tickets. It's a shame, because having drink service at my seat was quite nice and the club itself had a good atmosphere. I'd recommend it, as long as you are assertive when you're being seated.
