I've been here a few times and have found the food and service to be very inconsistent. The first time I visited I thought this would quickly become my new favorite restaurant. The food was amazing, and service was good that night. The second time the food was half as good and the server was very inattentive. It's been back and forth like that every time since. During my most recent trip the "warm bread" had warm and cold spots (it seemed like the bread had been frozen earlier), the mac and cheese was underseasoned, and I sent back the Sicilian cauliflower side I ordered (everyone at my table tried it and agreed it should be sent back). I almost never send food back. I really want to love this place, which is why I keep returning, but I'm about one visit away from giving up on it.

We love this restaurant for casual dinners or long lunches. The wine list and cocktail list are excellent, and there are food choices to suit every taste, from the kids to the gourmet diner. It's run by the same family that runs the famous La Morra restaurant in Brookline, and their deep knowledge of how to run a great restaurant really shows. There are multiple seating areas so you can get just the ambience you want, from the very casual bar to one of the more upscale dining rooms.

Had a wedding reception here. Jen and all the staff were just fantastic. The food was great and everything went off without a hitch. I would recommend them while heartedly.

Good fare and great people.  Some dishes like the grain bowl need some help but most items are great.  We went to their prix fix Christmas dinner and it was great.   Great bar and beer offerings too

I have had several lunches and dinners at the Heritage Inn, and while the food is usually very tasty, there are several issues that bother me.  First of all the flies inside the restaurant!  Particularly at lunch time, I find we spend most of the time swatting the flies away from our food!  Secondly, the exterior of the building needs some serious attention!  I noticed yesterday that two new planters had been placed by the front entrance, which is an improvement over the dead plants that were there before, but in general, the whole front entrance and garden need tending.  Weeds need to be removed, plants pruned, and the beds mulched.  The entrance to a restaurant should be well cared for and inviting, as that sets the tone for what goes on inside!  Lastly, my comments are meant to be constructive, and originate from a desire to see this restaurant succeed in Sherborn.  I sincerely hope this will be the case so we may continue to enjoy good food with friends and family in a pleasant and cared for environment.  Thank you.
