Went for the ER  with a fever, chills, aches, nausea, after not being able to sleep for days. They got me in relatively quickly, which is why they got two stars. 

The one woman tried to take me for an ultrasound that wasn't mine. I asked her twice why I was getting an ultrasound when the doctor didn't tell me that was part of the plan. Finally I realized she was in the wrong room.

Then, they insisted I had stomach pains, when I specifically said it wasn't localized. General, achy pain...so obviously that lead them to them telling me I needed to follow up with a GI specialist when I had no GI symptoms...

Honestly it was overall a ridiculous experience. I should have driven to a UPMC hospital.

The lady at the front desk and the triage nurse were so kind, helpful and FAST! The reason the visit got two starts was because of the incompetent service my fiancee received from Dr. Thomsey. He came in with an abcess on his face from a spider bite. The abcess was roughly the size of half of a dime. She squeezed it quite a bit but not much more than blood and puss came out. She squeezed so hard she made a grown man nearly pass out. Nothing for pain was offered nor a sugar tablet for the dizziness! The doctor was in the room roughly ten minutes(only causing pain) and we waited nearly three times that for paperwork. My fiancee's face doubled in size from the abcess after we left, which caused us to seek a second medical opinion from our insurance. That opinion was to immediately go back and demand proper service. The rn we spoke with said antibiotics should have been given at the visit and that it should have been packed and properly addressed. I feel as if he was just put on the back burner and not taken seriously during the visit which is causing us to return along with leaving this review. On top of this absolutely terrible experience the gross NEGLEGENCE doctors and or nurses sent his antibiotics over  12 hours later and he was supposed to have started taking them already.

It's a great hospital with low wait times for the ER if you have an actual problem, not just a sore throat. They have kind staff who genuinely care about their patients. It's one of the best hospitals I've been to.

This was not my first poor experience either ER. I was there for 6 hours ( emergency room wasn't busy) the nurse never came in to check on how things were going. I left the hospital with the same problem I came in with.

I was born here, all 3 of my kids were born here.  This is a nice hospital.  Great staff and we always get treated fairly.
