despite its recent construction (2005) almost none of the water fountains worked and took 3 years to be fixed. pencil sharpeners are broken in every classroom and no one does anything about it. you have to wonder what the staff is thinking... secretly a communist cult run by childless, ultra bitter women and the "men" whom supplicate them, this place is Satan's vision for a dystopian future. if you are attractive you are the enemy and will draw disdain from beta male teachers half of whom are instantly at odds. women here are aggressive, violent, cuss like sailors, and seem eager to falsely accuse someone of rape, steer clear like I did and don't take any risks with these monsters. like vampirism they are brainwashed by older staff members into not having kids only to end up evil old witches whom pass it on. what's left of the women will be excluded from the social group for being pretty, not that many of them are in much better shape (damaged from having no dad at home after being raised by single moms). if you are heterosexual and attractive prepare yourself for unwanted sexual implications/advances. staff standards are loosely based upon not being of European descent or a masculine male. incompetent teachers fill the void by dumping their personal politics on you for an hour and a half. although, some teachers here were superb, such as Earl (in Drawing), Mark (Comics and Graphic Novels), and Jeff (in Photo) and I really was educated by them. it's a shame because I bet this place was amazing back in decades past (at its previous location). providing context I voted for Obama twice and didn't vote for Trump and am not Christian nor religious and I was still not thrilled to be here. if you want to discover why there has never been a successful matriarchy on Earth, look no further (serious masochists only).

my only experience with the behind-the-scenes faculty of this place was extremely disparaging. the people up in the office on the 2nd floor completely ignore the faculty and students and live in their own little bubble. the one time we interacted with them was when they were getting free wacoms down on the 1st floor. I was re-propping a propped open door I'd just come through and one of these "business women" barked "don't close that door. we're about to go in there." okay... it was more than obvious that I wasn't going to close it and was re-propping it. no "please," just a rude order like she was some CEO. she'd been reading a bit too much Sheryl Sandberg, clearly. she just wanted to domineer me in front of her 2 other "business women" friends and it more than obvious this was the case and was extremely rude. I replied "I actually wasn't going to close it... ...it's all good!" with a big smile and a bit of sarcasm, to which they just smiled back because they knew they'd been called out by someone they thought would automatically submit to their jerk behavior. wouldn't want you to break a nail! heaven forbid you have to turn a door handle. just because a guy is in super skinny jeans doesn't mean he's submissive or going to take your obnoxious behavior, especially when you've never even spoken to me before and ignore all of us year round, year after year. might want to focus on fixing all of the water fountains that have been broken for 3+ years straight or replacing the broken pencil sharpeners in every classroom (Herron doesn't have a single working pencil sharpener... how's that for an art school?) before talking down to the students. you never know, your incompetence just might lose you your job...
