I had a great experience with Hertz. I needed a minivan to attend a funeral out of state and Tim was so helpful. He made sure my reservation was within that 24 hour window, the van was there, and he made sure there were no unexpected situations when I got there to pick up the minivan. When I arrived to pick up the rental Tim was busy with a customer so Jason walked me through the paperwork and he was super knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. Right as I was getting I to the rental to leave, Tim came outside to share his condolences for my loss and wanted to make sure it went smoothly. I hugged him for making it so easy. I would recommend them. Great customer service.

I would love to tell you about my experience with Hertz. On 10/27 I picked up a vehicle for a one way trip from Palm Coast, FL to Atlanta, GA. The vehicle I was originally assigned was sold during the checkout process so they could not let it go out for rental. At the last minute I was provided with a Chrysler 200. The vehicle was dirty inside, the drivers seat had visible sweat stains with white outlines, the car smelled like BO and the windows were filthy. I had to clean the windows a bunch of times to get the dirt off the inside before it had good visibility. I took the vehicle up on the interstate, only to experience a severe vibration upon reaching 55-60 mph. I pulled over in a rest area to check the tires and found they were all inflated to 55 psi. I let the pressure out to the recommended 35lbs and continued on my way. This helped with the vibration slightly but there was still a bad shake in the vehicle. I continued on because after all this I was behind schedule. Drove the vehicle slower than the advertised speed to mitigate the vibration. Upon arriving at my destination, I had the worst headache of my life from all the shaking. At the destination, I brought the experience to someones attention and they said "no wonder, looks like the car was in a bad accident previous". This was because the entire drivers side of the vehicle was painted and the color and clear coat work made it obvious. The rims have visible damage as well and more than likely one of them was bent. The receiving Hertz location stated they would not rent the vehicle until it was inspected (very wise). I was told to bring this to the attention of the contract location for an adjustment. Upon arriving home, I contacted the Palm Coast location. Explained exactly what happened and asked for an adjustment, only to get a BS run around. After explicitly stating I wanted a credit approx 5 times, the guy said he would submit one and communicate via my email address. That was also total BS and I have yet to hear from him or receive any type of credit. I had such a bad experience, I will NEVER rent again from this company. Monday morning I am going to file a small claims case against the local Hertz branch to recover some of my funds.
