I live in Dallas and whenever I visit my parents, this place is a must! I always look forward to their donuts. Last time I was in there, they were out of boston cremes, so the kind guy working filled some long johns for me, and they were the best donuts I have ever had! The earlier in the morning you go, the more of a selection you will have. Also, I have had their birthday cakes, they are wonderful as well. This is the epitome of what donuts should taste like!

Hi-way Bakery made us a cake for an important event. It was ready on time, beautifully decorated, and absolutely delicious.  The cake was very moist. The strawberry filling was the best I've ever had. The frosting was not the type that is so sweet, you want to scrape it off - it was just right. I wish I could include a picture of the cake with this review to illustrate how beautifully it was decorated.

Great place for coffee  and donuts and sweet  rolls.  Most bakery items run 1 dollar.   The are higher quality than the chains.  
They have tables and seating if you want to meet friends have coffee and a donut.  
They also have a good business of customers buying  dozens and take out.
Clean well run with polite and helpful wait staff.  Owner is always at this bakery
