The resort itself is secluded but only a few miles from town. As a wedding venue the entire establishment was gorgeous. The room we had was older. Only one electrical outlet was tight enough to hold any sort of charger. Beds were firm, pillows were flat and the roof had collapsed next to our room. The room was cheaper than most so that may be the reason for lack of modern features. We came in July and the pool was under construction. Not the best time considering temps were in the 90's. The wedding was catered by the resort. Food tasted good but around a third of the attendees got food poisoning the next day.

We attended the Lavender Festival on Sunday 6/11/17. We have attended and enjoyed all of the festivals (Lavender, Wine, Beer & Brats) over the past few years. The past few festivals have run out of food, drink, and desert, to various degrees. This year was the worst. Most of the food and drink items, and almost all of the desert choices, were crossed out on the menu's as not available, including the most-popular desert, the Lavender ice cream. These people know by now which items sell the best, yet it appears they can't see their way to making sure there's enough. We paid an entrance fee to enjoy the food and drink, only to find that most selections weren't even available. The management for these festivals don't seem to have a grasp of why people attend, and apparently don't care to make the effort to provide for their paying customers. Our entire family feel that it's not worth attending these festivals anymore. I'm being generous giving it a one star rating. I hope HSR management takes notice.

Attended the first Sunday of the 2017 Lavender Festival. I really enjoyed the general event services. The food, the drinks, the music... I also enjoyed the locally produced care products and everything Lavender. The lavender ice cream was delicious. Only advice: Need more signage advising of parking at nearby Beaumont High School and FREE provided shuttle service.

Attended the annual Lavender Festival! It was a great visit and the Lavender fields are a sight to see. The aroma fills the field and the colors are so rich. There are a few selection of drinks, food and snacks which are great to try. There plenty of Lavender and other aromatic products that can be tried and purchased.

The Grand Oak steak Prix Fix meal was probably the greatest meal I've ever had. The room needed some updating as the tile, TV, and decor was a little older. But the thing is, the outdatedness adds charm to the entire vibe of this place. Overall I would not hesitate to stay at Highland Springs. Try the honey lavender ice cream. A+
