Slow. 2.5 hour wait on a Tuesday 11:30a-2p to renew drivers license. No issue with license just close to expiration date. Had appointment at 10:30a was told I didn't have correct document. Needed marriage certificate not divorce decree to keep married name on license. Came back at 11:30a with marriage license and was made to wait 2.5 hours. Poor customer service.  The office wasn't busy just Extremely slow. Annoyed to say the least. I called to make sure I had correct documents before appointment & was told everything was good.

This is one of those places people dont like to go,  therefore it gets traditionally bad ratings.  However,  the location here is ideal, parking is not an issue, and the folks inside are very much East Hillsborough County - nice, courteous, and southern (at least in my experiences). Sure wish they were all trained to do more than one transaction type however.  Then, I could have given a 5.

I went to get a CDL Permit copy because I lost the original. And they gave me a hard time saying I needed a medical certificate. When I'm EXEMPT from a medical certificate because I'm a Hillsborough employee they don't listen all. They really need to be briefed on policy.

Best place to take the Road Test, although the wait time for my liscense was brutal. Counter service could be faster but friendly staff.

Best to catch them on a not so busy day.
