My wife took my daughter here for a dental checkup. They came home with an estimate for $450.00 dollars for fillings. I looked up the teeth online and figured out that the teeth of concern would fall out in 2 years or less. My first question is why is this a necessary procedure. A pretty basic question that a professional should be able to answer. I called the receptionists and asked that very question. I was told that the dentist would call me back. I never received that phone call, instead I received a letter stating that "since I questioned the diagnosis, and felt like I was being nickel-ed and dime-ed(a statement that never crossed my lips because my insurance covered 100% of costs associated with the procedure) they felt that we should no longer have a business relationship." So, in short, they lack the self-esteem to handle basic dental questions without assuming the question is an inquest of their professional capability. Lacked true concern for my daughters dental health by refusing to see her after questioned instead of simply answering a general question. Used the situation instead to catered to their own narcissistic ego trip. This dentist office lacks the professionalism and maturity to handle concerned parent questions. Called my insurance company and BBB about my experience.

Horrible woman. Should be ashamed of herself. What she wanted to do to our then 5 year old son didn't sit well in my gut not my husband's. Thank God we went with our oriningal intuition of somethng not feeling correct and seeked out a 2nd opinion. We would have put our son through unneeded riskful surgery to have EIGHT metal crowns put on his teeth. Yes, she wanted us to bring him to a surgical center, put him under general anesthesia, and pollute his mouth with 8 crowns at age 5. Disgusting. We went to Harring pediatrics and even he, in a very professional manor, agreed she is very, "aggressive" in her treatment plans. He said only one tooth truly needed a crown and one could use it but we could try a large filling first. The rest could be filled with no issues. We spread it out over 4 visits. The day my son got the crown his little mouth was so sore and he picked at his gum line for a couple of weeks saying it bothered him. He also reacted to the nickel and had canker sores on the gum above the tooth and part of the inner cheek that touched the crown and was extremely emotional for months. I can't even imagine the pain his mouth would have been in and his emotional state with the nickel reaction had we let that crook put in 8 crowns. It makes me tear up when I think about what we could of let her do. Not to mention the cost would have been over $4000 even with our dental insurance vs the $800 we ended up paying. It physically makes me sick that this woman is practicing. Not long after we chose to look for a 2nd opinion there was a news case that broke about a 3 year old that died while under general getting crowns put in and the parents said they had felt pressured. This was NOT Mitsy but it could be since she also parpractices using unscrupulous tactics. Please please seek a 2nd opinion if your child needs more than a typical cleaning and a filling or 2!!! Her office is nice, staff was pleasant and hygienist preformed a thorough and gentle cleaning but the visit itself from her was hurried and she was in and out. Before we knew it she had us in a different room speaking with someone about when we could schedule and how would we pay for the recommended treatment.

Terrible experience. We had an appointment scheduled for our two kids for today, confirmed by the office twice. Today the kids dont have school and we had a babysitter for our smaller child to get the appointment done. We drove across town, arrive and the office person says, casually and with zero care "Oh sorrrrry.... there was a miscommunication. We can't fit you in today". No notice of a changed appointment, no apology [other than the sarcastic initial sorry which wasn't genuine] and no attempt to remedy the situation. We left and will take our business elsewhere. Terrible experience; I don't do business with liars and this company blatantly lied to our faces and wasted our time.

We always have a great experience at HLS! The doctors, hygienists, and office staff are all courteous and helpful! We've been coming here regularly for 7 years now and will only be switching practices because we are moving out of state!
