The history is amazing!  This was my first visit so we parked and walked to the house and I would recommend you do the same. As you walk along a small trail you begin to see the top of this amazing place. As you get to the clearing, you are treated with an amazing view!  Our audio tour was included and I would recommend that as well. It was nice to just go through the rooms and have the audio for explanation.

I had a great time.  I only wish I could spend several days, as there's so much more to see and do.  My friend and I spent two nights in the Village Hotel, and it was wonderful.  This place is amazing!  The Biltmore House alone is fantastic, especially all decked out for Christmas.  I want to go back so I can tour the gardens and some more of the surrounding grounds, see the House again, and revisit the winery and the other shops at the stables.  But one must be prepared with plenty of time and physical stamina to tour the entirety of the estate.

This is a great place to just unwind.  The wine is tasting is amazing!  The shops are great for browsing.  Full disclosure, by browsing, I mean buying.  This entire place is loaded with great gift items for any occasion.   If you buy wine, pick up a pour sout so it can become a really cute cooking oil or salad dressing bottle.  It makes that bottle of wine and even better gift!

Lovely, pastoral setting. I didn't even go into the shops. Chainsaw far away was the only non-nature noise on my walk. Beautifully laid out, horses, deer. I was there in full, breathtaking Autumn color. Simply.
Magical.
Highly recommended!

VERY cool shops. With the museum/shop, the earth shop and the pen shop, plus clothing and kitchen, they have something for everyone in the family. Some big name brands here too if you want to spend freely. Plenty of parking and food options ranging from fast food to nice local seasonal to up-scale. Well worth a visit, and you can park once and walk to everything.
