This is an amazing hike. Best avoided during the summer, but awesome other times of the year. Great views of Lake Mead. You end at Hoover Dam. You hike through a series of railroad tunnels. Awesome.

We stopped here after Hoover Dam. We were unable to find parking at the trailhead, but the near by visitor center had plenty. Only problem with parking at the visitor center is that the end of your long walk is up hill and a bit further. The trail weaves around for maybe over a mile before the first tunnel. The 5 tunnels are at least maybe another mile and half. On the way in, we stopped to take picture after picture of the tunnels, Lake Mead and Muddy and Black Mountains-beautiful! The return trip took about 45 minutes at a steady clip.  We could take our dog with us!

This trail is so amazing!! First time , the views are phenomenal!! Learn a bit more about our city and the railroad caves! Amazing, definitely will recommend and good trail for pups as well. Definitely a 5 star!!!

Great beginner hike that you can take the kids and the dog on.
The train tunnels are amazing as well as the views of the desert and Lake Mead.

Another great hiking trail in Vegas area, wide,  packed gravel, family & pet friendly. Suitable for all ages & abilities. 
 Great views, we went during record high temps in November, plenty of shade. A bit hot at the dam - as usual. Around 6 miles round trip.
