Story

Tucked away on the corner of River Rd and FM2673 in Sattler Texas, is THE HITCHING POST; your one stop shopping destination for holistic food for your pets and wildlife, organic fertilizers and gardening needs as well as a vast array of pet supplies.
Initially established in Fischer in 1986 (12 miles from the current location) The Hitching Post moved to Hancock before their final move to Sattler in 1992.
MEET THE STAFF
ERNIE Pavlock is the owner, hence the often nicknamed establishment of "Ernie's." Ernie was the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce President in 1995, and fulfilled a total of 7 years as a board member. Ernie understands the wants and needs of the Canyon Lake area.
GINA is the manager, who is always available to offer free advice on what nutritional or supplemental requirements
your pet's may need. It has been reported, following Gina's advice, that many area pets have had their long term physical problems alleviated. A firm believer in the holistic modalities and nutritional needs for animals, Gina is a wealth of information. (It should also be noted that professional veterinarian advice should be obtained when dealing with sick, injured or dying pets.)
JAMES is the friendly warehouseman, always ready for a lengthy conversation while he loads your vehicle for FREE with hay, feed or bags of dog and cat food.
