After being told I would get a free estimate, the service man tells me that the estimate is $750 to replace the jaws in my meter- a 5 to 10 min job that 3 other electricians who weren't available that day gave me estimates of $300. When I refused, the service man called his boss and they took $100 off. I still refused to pay more than twice what it was worth, and they said they wanted me to pay a service fee! I refused to pay the service fee for my free estimate and the boss got me on the phone and said "Oh, so you're THAT kind of customer-everything you do is right- I see!" I told him that I am no kind of customer to him and had the job done the following day for $300. What a SCAM.
