I loved this restaurant! The crispy rice and peanut chicken salad were both delicious! Salad portion was large and great for sharing. It’s also on a beautiful street in the West Village. If it’s warm, sit outside!
Justice for holiday bar! After reading the terrible reviews i did not have high expectations but had a lovely experience for dinner. The service was 10/10, not sure if it was better because it was fairly empty or because they read the reviews. The menu changed so a lot of the popular items weren’t available but the jerk chicken, crab cakes and lobster pasta were all really great. Super cute atmosphere & great cocktails
To the Management, I want to express my extreme disappointment regarding my recent visit to Holiday Bar. Despite having a reservation for an indoor table at 9 PM, my three friends and I were left waiting at the bar for over an hour!! due to a “delay” in seating. The manager/host Heather ignored us completely! She told us over and over again that we had to wait because the previous party was still seated. Can’t believe we waited like idiots for an hour. Despite her assuring us we would be taken care of we never were take care of… we ordered one appetizer and three entrees between the 4 of us and we were charged for everything!! Our anticipation turned to frustration and disappointment as we were left unattended and the promised quality service was absent. This experience has made it clear that Holiday Bar’s customer service needs urgent improvement.
My expectations when coming to this place was that it’s just a place for people watching, overpriced menu items and average food/drinks. However I was pleasantly surprised and food turned out to be pretty good. Blue crab sushi, crab cakes and curly fries were amazing!
Martini special was a great deal, the lychee was tasty but the gin for a regular dirty martini was just ok. We mostly came just for drinks but ended up ordering a calamari which was a very small portion for the price. Overall the service at the bar was very attentive, and we had a good time.Food: 3/5
Great people watching… quite the scene as of early 2023. Appetizers were fantastic - lamb meatballs, oysters, cucumbers. Mains good but don’t come with any accompaniments, so order up! Interiors beautiful - very chic.
Not the best experience, dirty martini was bad and there was very slow service. We had a weird experience with ordering a bottle of wine— just not the standard you’d expect when spending that amount of money. Food was decent, I liked the crispy rice spicy tuna, spring roll, fries, and the lobster pasta although that wasn’t a favorite at my table, lobster was clearly not fresh and people were expecting it to have more of a red sauce. Fine as a back up option.
I cant really give an encompassing review on this because I only ate the fries which were delicious, BUT my friends had the calamari and the spicy meatballs and they enjoyed them! The vibe and atmosphere here is very nice, hip, & cozy. I’d want to go back here and try their others dishes!
We were blown away by the brunch. Highlights were: Ugandan Rolex, Dutch Baby pancake, carmelized french toast and the lobster roll. Curly fries were also delicious. One of my fave interiors in the west village!!!
There was zero vibe. The music wasn’t upbeat for a weekend evening. The crowd was a mainly tourists, which is fine, but not the crowd of Saint Theo. My friend made a reservation for 8PM and at 8:50PM they just sat a 7:30PM reso because they were “running behind”. Of course, this happens to every restaurant occasionally, but the hostesses had zero training on service. Instead of being gregarious with the hungry guests to comfort them while they waited, they were indifferent and aloof. I overheard the manager or GM? make derogatory comments behind a guest’s back after they complained about the lateness. I’m shocked that this is the same group as American Bar and Saint Theo, because Saint Theo has never let me down.
