Great atmosphere, food and drinks! I love coming here after work, bartenders are friendly and know how to make a good drink. After frequenting this place so much I brought my friend for her birthday and she had a great time.
A place with the most disrespectful bartender I've ever seen in my life. I strongly do not recommend. I lay my head on the table because I was tired and the man told me this is not your house, this is my bar, this made me and my friend very uncomfortable.
Went here with friends for drinks, the drinks were decent, but service was terrible. Asked the bartender to change the tv to an overtime game as there were 10 or so of us who wanted to watch it, not many other people in the bar. He refused to change it saying he was tired of changing the channel. My friends asked him to change it as well and he refused. Not sure if he’s having a bad day but overall it was a pretty impressively rude moment.
Low key/fun spot for drinks and to hang with friends. Nicer than a dive bar, and not crazy loud like other spots. And Billy the owner is awesome!
The food and drinks at The Brooklyneer were pretty good! The prices of drinks themselves were a little high I felt, but food prices were decent so overall it wasn't a crazy bill for a group of us. There are waves of crowd size at any given time, it's either empty or packed, I have yet to experience an in-between. The big negative here is the table service. Drinks took a half-hour to come out, going straight to the bar was within a minute or two every time.
Great spot to grab a drink after you find out Houston Hall is closed. Read their reviews, this happens often. But you’ll be better off at the Brooklyneer instead, where the bartenders are friendly and the guac is top notch. Definitely hit this place up if you’re looking for a casual and unassuming spot in the area.
I made reservations for 7 people at 8pm in August. The staff was super friendly and great to talk to. As women we felt safe, the drinks were great, and we loved the vibe! There was outdoor and indoor seating. Wasn’t too busy. We will be back!
Perfect spot to catch up with friends. Music was excellent and not too loud. Cocktails were amazing and chicken nachos are a must !
Your experience will vary largely on which server is working. Anything from mediocre to an absolute waste of time. Ever waited 30 minutes to order food while you see the *one* staff member who can, apparently stare at a screen for minutes and then off into the distance for more, with multiple people looking his way expectantly? I saw 4 patrols standing, frowning, money in hand and waiting... Probably wondering why they were even in this place. It's absolutely amazing seeing a business so negligent it literally has money walking out the doors. It's one thing to be so classy a joint you don't need the customers... There's no way that's the case here.
Good vibes in the beginning. However, going there for years at this time, the service isn't well. They take their time and give you passive attitudes when you call them over. Some bartenders do have their favorites. When it's busy forget it, 20 minutes waiting for a drink, minimum. Mix drinks are good but sometimes it isn't worth it
