Of all the Holiday Inn Expresses we stayed in during our trip-this was, by far, the best one.  Very clean-new-neat-modern-everything worked-staff was nice. Profressional.  Would highly recommend this one.  Only con was that it was close to Rte 40 so was a bit noisy at times but that is not their fault.  Restaurants nearby that can be walked to was a big plus as well.  Would definitely stay there again.

Don't let the fancy, modern decor fool you. If you actually like to sleep avoid this noise pit at all costs. We were awoken by extraordinarily loud rap music and random slamming and banging noises all night long. Was this a neighbor? I can't tell you since the walls and floors seem to be made of paper. Noise came from all directions. In any case, Mr. Rap man tired of getting ready for his rave and loudly exited the room after about 20min of sharing his musical tastes with us at 3 in the morning. Which brings me to the next issue; the doors slam shut with extreme vigor. That was a constant throughout the night, loud door slamming. Also, footsteps... why there were so many people walking around at ungodly hours I can't tell you. What I can tell you is how I pondered why it sounded like they were wearing iron shoes to produce the number of decibels their footsteps brought to my ears. At one point there was a constant, rhythmic, and loud banging noise. This banging would cease a few seconds giving a glimmer of hope that it was over before resuming. My husband and I had a discussion on what that could be in the middle of the night, since we weren't sleeping anyways. He proposed it was a headboard from, well, you know, "the deed". But alas, our headboard was fixed to the wall so the mystery remains unsolved. In the morning we had our bill slid under our door to remind us that we way overpaid to not sleep. Finally, housekeeping started knocking on our door repeatedly starting around 8:30, because apparently we weren't leaving the premises fast enough.

Rooms were very nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. Stay included a free breakfast. Great for an overnight business trip.

The complimentary breakfast was not good.  It was cold and tasted like powdered eggs were used

Clean, comfortable with great amenities. Breakfast served warm with good array of choices. I would give it 5 stars but for the hot water. Water for shower was not hot enough. My kids had to take lukewarm showers and were cold and shivering when done.
