The Holiday Inn Express South Grand Rapids with newer 7,200 sq ft conference center offers an excellent blend of features and amenities for both business and leisure travelers. When doing business in Grand Rapids Michigan come and see why we're not just a hotel!

This all suites facility features 78 guest rooms with a blend of oversized single and two bed rooms, and suites, all with refrigerators microwaves. The entire building offers free wireless internet access.

Staff was friendly and helpful, maid service could do a better job on the cleanliness of the rooms. Breakfast was good, nice variety. The kids enjoyed the pool area, water was pretty cold though, my 4 year old was shivering and lips were turning blue after about 15 minutes in the pool. There are a ton of kids at this hotel, and it is noisy, so don't expect to go to sleep early. They did have a fun interactive magic show for the kids which was enjoyable. Overall, we probably wouldn't go back, but the kids did have fun.

We loved the free continental breakfast. More expansive than most. Kids loved the pool and splash pad. The cleanliness, or lack there of, really killed it for us. Hair everywhere. On the shower curtain, in the sheets, on the pillows and several giant hair balls in the hot tub and pool area. Bathrooms needed more attention. Staff was friendly.

The suite layout was great for our family of 5 although the bathroom needed a good cleaning (some unsightly hairs). It was great having the kids in a separate room. The king bed was a memory foam type mattress so I was NOT a fan of that.  And we could hear the people above us - the kids were convinced that there were elephants on the third floor. The swim area was fun for the kids but it was surprisingly pretty cold in that area!  I asked the staff to turn up the heat but it never warmed up. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was better than most.  While the kids had a blast I don't think we will return to this hotel.

Only stayed for one night just passing through so we didn't get a chance to check out the pool but it looked nice. The room was clean and spacious. It was busy at breakfast but there was plenty of food this morning with eggs, sausage, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and flat screen in the room. The room phone didn't work though as I tried to call the front desk but it was dead. Other than that it was fine.

My family and I spent a night at the Holiday Inn Express in Grand Rapids over spring break. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend it. The pool and splash pad area or a lot of fun especially for younger children. Our 3 year old toddler didn't want to leave! In the evening they served ice cream sundaes and every night played in new movie.
