Home2 Suites by Hilton is the newest brand of Hilton Hotels and is leading the way by being environmentally friendly. The Home2 Suites Lexington Park Pax River is proud to take it a step further by becoming Gold LEED Certified, meaning Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. We are southern Maryland's first "green" hotel. Home2 Suites will offer Energy Star appliances, carpet made from 60% recycled materials, CFL Lightbulbs, Low Flow Plumbing fixtures, and real china instead of plastic plates and utensils. Our hotel will also have an energy model that is projected to save 32% in annual energy costs, storm water controls to absorb rainwater back into the ground, rather than running directly into the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, an indoor saline pool and underground parking that will help reduce the impervious footprint of the hotel and its Heat Island effect.
