This Home Goods location .. is the rudest store I have ever been in .. the guard at the door is a disgrace , nasty rude , not helpful. I have been in numerous Home Goods over the years with wonderful customer care ,, the Brooklyn location needs to have a clean sweep and hire new managers and sales people .. although before I end my post I would like to say the only sales person that I have had a wonderful experience with is a lovely lady named Valerie .. I've only visited this location if I knew Valerie was in. Other wise I walk right out the door .

This is by far the worst Home-goods I have ever patronized.  With the exception of the short African American manager and the two (2) friendly African American security personnel, all the other workers seems unhappy to be there.  The lines are ALWAYS extremely long and the managers are NEVER helpful to the customers or their workers.  The tall African American manager with dreadlocks is ALWAYS lean back on the counter behind the register on his phone.  It NEVER seems to bother him when the lines are long.  When he is approached with a question he seems to be annoyed that he is being interrupted.  Although this store has beautiful items, most everything worth purchasing is broken or has missing pieces (If you get the opportunity to talk to a manager they always quote the 10 percent company policy (10 percent is good, but most of the time the 10 percent discount is a LOT less than the repairs needed to the broken item). I think management should be able to use their discretion sometimes.  I strongly recommend that upper manager retrain the staff.
