I hired Your Home Town Painting Services to paint three rooms in my house (walls and ceilings) and install crown molding in those rooms. I was shocked when three days after the completion of the job, the crown molding began to crack and separate in nearly every corner. It turned out that the crown was cut at wrong angles and installed improperly. To conceal the problem, Your Home Town Painting used wood-filler to fill in the gaps and simply painted over them. Once the paint dried it became evident that the craftsmanship was poor to the level of being substandard. I immediately took pictures of the work and tried to contact the company.  After several attempts, I finally got a call back from Your Home Town Painting Services.  I explained the situation and emailed 21 pictures to them as evidence of the poor quality.  We agreed that the owner would come and inspect the work himself.
  
When the owner of the company saw the work, he expressly admitted that the installation of the wood was unacceptable and all had to be removed and re-installed.  We showed him the areas where even the painting job was poor and sloppy with blotches and drips of paint on the ceiling and even on the sides of the kitchen cabinets and pantry.  Furthermore, the owner admitted that, based on his observation, his painter applied only one coat of paint, not two coats, as was agreed.  The owner of Your Home Town Painting was apologetic and asked for an opportunity to redo the work, remove all crown molding, reinstall it properly, and repaint the walls and ceilings.  We agreed to allow the rework.
  
On the day the rework was scheduled to begin, no one from Your Home Town Painting showed up.  Again we made numerous attempts to contact the company, eventually they responded. Once again the owner pleaded for another opportunity to redo the job.  We allowed the company yet another chance for rework.  Yet again on the day the rework was scheduled to begin no one showed up or called.
  
Finally, we simply wanted our money back so that we could hire a company who can do the job professionally.  For the last three months we have been trying to get a refund.  Your Home Town Painting Services agreed to reimburse us for labor and material, but has not done so.

Your Home Town Painting Services is unskilled, unprofessional, and unresponsive.  I do not recommend this company to anybody.

If you want your house painted for a great price, definitely call this company. However, if you want the paint on your house to start chipping off because the home was not properly prepped and primer was not applied, this is also the company for you. They DO NOT respond to phone calls, messages left etc. I even filed a complaint w/ the BBB and they never responded. I was very happy with their services, but they are not true to word with their 5 year warranty.

THey painted our house 5 years ago and have been having problems ever since. We paid for a "higher quality" paint which started bubbling almost immediately. We called out the Sherwin William Rep who stated that they could not guarantee the paint as it was not applied correctly.  Fast forward to this year... Bubbles and peeling....  We called them again to come out and fix it... They came out an did a minimum of fixing not scraping all the bubbling off the house.. but the paint color was way off... so we now  have a polka dot house... Manager/Owner came out and stated that he agreed that it needed to be fixed.  That was in July....  Can;t get them on the phone nor dod they return messages...  We let everyone who comments on the condition of the house which company messed it up!

I called Hometown Painting out to give me an estimate twice. One for painting and the second for replacing some siding prior to painting. I told Mike the sales guy that I would get back to him on scheduling the job because I had some windows to replace prior to painting. This morning I get a call from my neighbor telling  me that Hometown Painting is at my house looking for me so they can start the job. The  guys started sanding and caulking my siding and trim. I have a pond on the back of the house that was filled with paint shavings! I never signed a contract, I never gave them a start date! When I spoke with Claire today, she told me that the start date was in an email she sent me. I told her I never even committed to a date.   DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THESE PEOPLE. I will file with the BBB!!

they have a great big ad in the coupon book,but that is the only good thing they have.they are messy workers,didnt speak english,and the paint is already peeling off my house and will not fix the problem   beware of this company
