Mixed feelings on this place; the decor is fun and the server was good (though holding the whole place down herself seemingly!). The ingredients of the food are excellent quality, but it was hit or miss in terms of execution. The sweet potato fries are really really quite good. The chicken dishes are similarly tasty. The salad I ordered (Cajun Cobb) was however very underwhelming. The description made it seem like it was primarily a bean/corn/avocado salad, however in reality it was a pile of mixed greens with a single scoop of the corn/bean mix and maybe a third of an avocado. Even odder, it was essentially undressed (I guess the bean/corn mix had a bit of dressing but all of the greens were completely without dressing). The taco strips were piled on one side but since the plate was so stuffed with greens there was no way you were going to be able to mix them in without salad going everywhere. This salad was decent, but it was insanely expensive for what I ended up getting ($18 before tax with the chicken, which was an extremely thin fillet of chicken, though very nice tasting). Trust me, you're paying about $20 for what is essentially half a container of mixed greens. Definitely not a real Cobb salad. We ordered two other entrees (Bacon Grilled cheese, and jerk chicken) which were pretty good, but the salad was disappointing.

I have been coming here for years and love it. The staff are excellent and the food is fantastic. They don't have a kids menu but have always been very welcoming to my kids who usually get one meal to share and it's plenty.

I went in to Hot Belly Mama's after a friend had recomended it to me. We stood waiting to be seated for 15 minutes before the girl came out and when she did, it was the worst service I've ever received. She told us to sit wherever we wanted then walked away without giving us menus. Then we sat for a while before getting menus and when she came over she tossed the menus in front of us instead of setting them down. When I said thank you, she said nothing just started to walk away, so in the heat of a moment I said "ok then" and she scoffed walking away to go laugh with the cooks. She didn't come back for so long we just left without even getting drinks ordered may I mention there were 3 tables seated MAX. It was not too busy . I will never go back here!

Super delicious food, takes Trent cash! But not *super* cheap. About $20 for a meal? Definitely a cool environment and really nice servers.

Food was superb. Smoked ribs? Yes! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. For an establishment sister to a brew pub, servers should learn to pour beer. Beer came with no head, no lacing. Owner must be griping about lost revenue! Lines for some beers need cleaning. All said good experience, though.
