Its kooky. Its different. If you are interested in old buildings and neat weird stuff. It has the most amazing private museum I've ever seen. Its an eccentric, historic, jem. They are fixing it up, but in the mean time parts of it are showing the wear of time. The hot springs are great!

The building itself is truly an amazing relic considering what it has been through. The history is rich which is cool too learn about, very nice artifacts, artwork and antiques. The overall ambience is charming if you can get passed that it's not a corporate hotel. My reasons for not giving 5 stars is the pricing of the hot springs.

The grounds are beautiful and the history is very interesting. If you like visiting old buildings and love history, this is a great place. Things are a bit over priced because they are still in the process of restoring it (it did sit abandoned for over a decade) and that takes money. If you aren't a paying visitor, the places you can go at the hotel are limited. I would still recommend stopping by and giving it a look of you are passing by on 8-84 (it's only 5 miles off the freeway)

Great hospitality, beautiful scenery, comfy bed, feels like you are in the wild west. Breakfast could've been a bit more substantial for my taste. Overall great experience.

In ownership transition, this restoration project in process is well worth a visit, if only to see the history museum. Open only for breakfast, we haven't tried the food. Unique local history and major museum quality Western and military museum.
