This was our first time there and we LOVED it. Our server was amazing and gave us great recommendations. I'd honestly go back just for the salsa and chips bc even that alone was delicious. It was spicy and the chips were fresh, crunchy and not oily at all. We got the Navajo taco ground beef, fry bread ,the chicken burrito with beans and rice and the tamales as a starter. All of it was delicious!!
Stopped by on my 3rd business trip and immediately realized I should have visited this place on my first trip. Chips and salsa to get started is always a nice treat. Welcoming atmosphere, great staff, great food. Food was ready very quickly. I’m definitely coming back again Parking: Can be limited on busy nights
They have a huge and varied menu here! This restaurant is not one that jumps out at you when you're driving by on the street. I was introduced to it recently on a business trip. Apparently it's very popular with folks who live in Rio Rancho. The service was excellent. I had the enchilada casserole and it was outstanding! Not very often that you see a restaurant put a home-cook item on the menu. Their casserole was reminiscent of high quality church potluck fare. A must try!
Our last experience here was fantastic! We got posole, enchiladas and a version of posole without the hominy Miguel's Calabasita bowl that was so amazing I can't wait to get it again!Food: 5/5
Good food clean friendly service. And the dessert so yummy forgot to take a picture but it was worth it.Food: 4/5
This is one of our favorite places in Rio. Parking can sometimes become a little competitive but just be patient or park to the east of the building if the lot is full, and it often is. The prices are good and the food is even better! We love their house made chips & salsa, which we regularly order a pound of chips and a quart of salsa to take home. And their fresh sopapillas are TOO darn good! They’re usually busy for a reason, it’s worth a try if you haven’t stopped by already!
My partner and I went to Hot Tameles on Pat D'Arco tonight because it was rhe highest rated on google for the area and oh my it's hard to find a nice way to describe this. It was very busy which I took as a good sign. Salsa tasted like marinara sauce which should have been our sign to leave. My partner ordered the pezole with no cilantro he has the soap gene thing and it came with red chile poured in the middle of the bowl which he then needed to mix into the cloudy broth and Grey pork. He now wishes he had cilantro so it'd have some flavor. I got the relleno plate with beans and potatoes, the only edible thing was the beans. The server was very nice and if you want Mexican food with out the spices or flavor, aka Midwestern Mexican, this might be worth checking out.
Love that place. Only thing i didn’t feel comfortable with was the waitress wouldn’t take my order right away. I was in an unauthorized parking spot in the mall behind the restaurant, and i didn’t want to get a boot. She had to get my drink, then the appetizer, then finally the food order. I didn’t eat all of it because i had to hurry and move my vehicle.
Great quality, professional courteous service at a great price. I had the La Prima three tacos with crema, cabbage and carne . Very good . The sopapilla was so fresh. My sister's ordered the Chile and Navajo taco. Parking: They also have a drive-thru.
I really like their green chile! It was very tasty! I did not like the salsa. I'm not sure that flavor in it- kinda BBQ taste- was not a fan. Both chiles- red and green were hot Good service!Food: 3/5
