Driving in Battle Creek at 8PM on East Ave headed to the Marathon gas station on Emmett St, I reach the light which had just turned green waiting for a truck to go so that I can turn left when all of a sudden a large semi truck carrying fuel comes barreling through the light that was so obviously red to him. Luckily the truck opposite me hadn't started going yet nor had I turned left because there would have been a horrific crash. I love only three blocks from that intersection. Kids play near there. In fact there is a school right around the corner. If this would have earlier in the day there would have been a guaranteed crash or severely injured pedestrians. I pull into the gas station parking lot walk over to the truck to write down any info I can find to report this driver. It's a very young man setting up to deliver fuel. I told him that he ran a red light back there and he tells me he couldn't stop(!). Um, then you were going to fast. The speed limit is 30 on that road pal! Will be calling in to report this driver. I recall a truck getting in an accident at the same gas station just a few weeks before this incident. Hmmm, was it the same company???
