This Humane Society is amazing!  As co-founder of a local animal rescue, I've had many many dealings with them, and since their inception in, I believe 2007, I've personally seen hundreds of animals come through their process.  There is a bit of a wait for an appointment sometimes, so be prepared for that.  They have built that place from donations and grants and hard work, not state funds and tax dollars. This is not a shelter.  This a place to alter your pet to aid in reducing pet overpopulation.  For those who think "a humane society" is a shelter where you adopt animals clearly don't understand why The Humane Society of America exists.  This is why these people continuously call rescues in a panic saying things like, "I didn't even know she was pregnant," and "I've got a litter of kittens that I'm just gonna let free if you don't take them." This is also the only conceivable reason someone would rate this place anything less than 4 or 5 stars, in my opinion.

This is an excellent Spay and Neuter Clinic they treat you with respect they are kind and courteous to everyone and if you qualify you can get discounted rates based on donations that has been allowed by other folks to help them out I recommend this place to anyone who has a dog or a cat

This is the most wonderful group of people and an amazing spay neuter clinic. It is clean, the staff is wonderful, the prices fantastic. The person who gave it one star has no idea what this facility is. It is not an animal shelter, this is a spay neuter clinic. This facility does not get any help from the City of Cookeville or Putnam County. It depends on revenue and grants only and hopefully generous donations from the public. But since the Humane Society Spay Neuter Clinic is separate from the animal shelter, most of the public donates money to the animal shelter unfortunately. Since its inception, they have spay/neutered almost 40,000 animals cutting the stray dog population by approx 60% and cat population by around 40%. Enough where the county or city did not have to hire an additional animal control officer. Would be nice if they helped financially. I have taken many animals to be "fixed" there and it is an awesome place. Sure they could use more parking spaces. Would be nice if they had the extra revenue to do this, however, there is ungodly amounts of parking all around the facility.

This is a great spay/neuter clinic that really cares about the animals and making sure they are healthy

I love the way they took care of a stray momma cat and her kittens. They answered any concerns that I had. I will definitely use them again, should I the need. Nice and respectful people.
