Sadly we did not have a good experience here. My mom has gone here previously and loved it, so she wanted us to try. Our family isn't one to complain but this trip here this time was horrible service and the food was not good. We got here, were seated and just mentioned we were waiting on one other person, and she came in a few moments later. The server didn't come back to us for over 20 minutes after getting our drink orders. So we brought it up, said she thought we were still waiting on people and that's why she didn't come get our order. Mind you, she saw when our guest came in since she took her drink order. Then once we put our order, it took forever for our food to come. We were there for over an hour before we got all of our food (minus clam chowder that never came). The fish in the fish and chips was chewy (the child's fish and chips was not), and the combination seafood plate was overcooked. Once we left, we noticed she still charged us for the clam chowder we never received. We had to go back and get the refund. We asked to speak with the manager when we came back, and our server said she was the manager.

Great comfort food on the road, at a reasonable price - bonus that it's not a chain! Wait staff very pleasant & relaxing vibes. Another reviewer recommend chicken strips for a light meal & they were right - batter is crisp, light & not greasy. Hubby loved the perfectly cooked eggs, tender ham slice & buttery crisp hash browns.

Great breakfast and service. A local secret and my favorite place for a good meal at non-tourist prices.

If u like big portions, this is a 5 star place. The wait staff was very nice, but a little busy. The restaurant decor is 1960 semi nautical. Breakfast was decent, similar to a Denny's.

Waitress had some attitude. Food was frozen or from a bag. Soups were kept out in a heating container all the way across the restaurant away from tge kitchen which i found strange and very distasteful. I had bag salad with canned beets and a frozen slice of a cucumber. The fried fish was good from the fish and chips plate but the fries were limp and could tell they were frozen not fresh.
