I have only good to say about this shop. I had the Specialized body geometry fit performed on my bike. This was the best money I have spent on the sport of cycling. Whenever I need EXPERT advice, this is where I go. The atmosphere is relaxed. The help is fantastic. The attitudes are great.  Best bike shop in the Eugene Springfield area. Period.

I recommend against giving this shop your patronage. From the moment I entered the store I received a cold welcome. I requested crown race facing service clearly and explicitly. This request was met with confusion and aggressive questioning. The employee first implied I didn't know what I was talking about and then proceeded to write up a service ticket for only half of what I requested, without trying to clarify further. After some probing I discovered that the shop didn't have the tool (or the know-how) necessary to complete the service. I decided take my business elsewhere at this point.

I can't say anything the the quality of the service performed by this shop, and I can say that I never will. But judging from some of the reviews I'd recommend avoiding the service department at Hutches.

My bike is an old cruiser, I've need work 4 or 5 times in the last few months. I was treated great here and more than fair! The service is fast and priced fair. There was a misunderstanding the last time my bike was in so I called and talked to Len the manager, he went way above and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer. Great service, great customer service, great staff!, fair prices. Why go any where else?

I've had to take some stars off my previous post. The last few times I've been in they've been disorganized (lost my info & didn't call when my bike was ready then when I called couldn't find my bike) did a weird repair (new chain rode rough & it wore out the cassette & now I need new of both) & I feel like the shop manager is cranky and hard to communicate with. I still really love the Hutch's in Springfield

I came into the store on a Sunday afternoon, with my rear derailleur completely messed up and unable to shift gears at all.  Will immediately diagnosed my problem and did a complete readjustment on the spot while I waited.  It only cost $10, and he was most friendly and helpful.
