I would've given this a 1 or a 2 star. Due to issue that occurred but the management was great and took care if the problem we had. My husband and I had gone through the check out, the customer  in front of us still had stuff on the counter that the bagger was still bagging up. The cashier started our transaction and slid ours down with the rest. Before we knew it the customer had walked away. The cashier gave my husband the receipt and cash back. He then asked where's my stuff and she just stood there. Looking at us like she didn't know what we we talking about.  She then started on the next person AS WE WERE STILL standing there asking where bag is. After she finished with that customer we saw her walk off, we thought maybe she went to see could find the person or whatever turns out she was off duty and went home for the day.  Finally after about 30 minutes the kid that was bagging and that had helped the customer out and had came in the store with a bag. Meanwhile three members of the management team had seen us standing in the front of the store with our arms crossed not looking happy. I was able to tell them just what happened, and I mentioned that we were from out of state visiting family.  They didn't look happy about it,  they said that they would take care of that, that we shouldn't have been treated like that, they also mentioned that they've issues before with this cashier. They gave us a $20 gift card as an apology(which we gave to my husband's aunt who shops there all the time). The bagger had then came in with the bag and handed us.

Always clean! My wife and I have been going to Hy-Vee for many years and we are very pleased. The employees are always helpful and gracious.

Just wanted to give kudos to the entire Hy-vee corporation and for the kind employees at the State Street Hy-vee in Ankeny.  I never thought I'd ever use the online shopping feature until I was struck with this awful flu.  I went online to check out how it worked and was surprised to see that it was quite simple.  Moreover, all of my purchases had been recorded, making it even more simple to order food.  I was able to protect everyone from the flu by ordering from my couch and picking up curbside.  Thank you so much for making it easy!

I went to the new Hy-Vee in ankeny and I love it. I used to go to the one on east 29th and this is a huge step up. They also have different things in there like a Starbucks. But i can say there staff is very respectful and helpful

Looking all around for a product and here stands 3 employees joking laughing it up not one asked did you need any help finding something. Been to alot of Hy-Vee's always greetings you and offering to help you. Humm
