Strange to say the least. The first thing I noticed was the strange familiarity between the doctor and his two elderly staff. His procedure door was open and I could hear him in there exchanging playful insults with them and they were also speaking to the person he was treating (so I thought, guess you have no privacy - door stays open). When I say strange behavior - it was made even more so because it just went on and on. They even mentioned their non-traditional method of running an office to me in passing. Stuff about them all being crazy here. And they even playfully insulted each other, including the doctor. At this point, I thought I'll stay as long as he's good at what he does. I was in incredible pain. One of the staff came over and nearly whispered to me "He's the best there is." This went on for an hour. At no time during that hour did they come over to explain why I am waiting so long? Is it normal to wait a long time to see him? I had another place to be within the next hour and so told the staff person this. I told her I was leaving and does it always take this long to be seen. Both ladies explained that he was performing emergency services right now and that when it's my turn he would dedicate just as much time as my condition required. They sent me a very professional "we like you, please come back" letter. But they didn't mention what happened while I was there or if this was normal. Won't go back. Just in my gut, I got a creepy feeling.

My friend waited in Dr. Jacobs office for THREE HOURS before being seen. I can't believe anyone would treat their patients like that. Lucky for this disrespectful quack, my friend is extremely patient and willing to put up with being treated so poorly. I, however, feel the need to shout from the rooftops that Dr. Jacobs clearly has no respect whatsoever for his patients and should not be practicing. This is not the only time my friend has had this experience. If you value your time and have any self respect, please do not go to this sorry excuse for a doctor. There are many highly recommended podiatrists in the Capital Region who will respect your time.

Let me first start by saying, I had cosmetic surgery done on Long Island, by another surgeon/not Dr Jacobs, for a hammer toe,...the Long Island Dr was an artist, and did a beautiful job!! He literally broke the bone & reshaped my toe to match to same toe-on the other foot... What a wonderful job he did!! I expected the same when I came upstate to live. I had surgery-a "simple" shaving of the top of (another) toe-bone to prevent a corn from forming, done by the Dr Jacobs. His bedside manner is good, but he talked sooo much, and was so busy serving coffee to my family that he botched up the results of my surgery. My toe is crooked to this day, maybe because of the way Dr Jacobs "unraveled" the healing bandage off my toe, post-op... like my toe was a "spinning top" and he was trying to spin it!! I returned to his office about a year after the surgery to show him how it looked, because he told me the appearance of my toe would improve over time... ummmm.... really?? When I "did" show up to Jacobs office with a crooked toe, I was treated like a crazy person!! First, he had his staff act like he didn't know me & he never came out of his office to speak with me. His staff told me he left for the day, after reassuring me that he would come out of his office to speak with me. I waited two hours to see him!! I should've sued him, but many things happened in my life & i just didn't have to freedom to do so. he's a horrible surgeon & I can't figure out how he's been in business this long??!!??
