A diamond among the history. This place looks like it doesn't belong. However great beer, good food. Nice atmosphere. Service was slow even when it wasn't overly crowded. Will go back for sure.

We'll try it again, just for the ambiance. The beer was good, the food was okay, and the service was poor. My husband and I both used to work in restaurants, so we get a server being busy. We were patient and polite. We were told to sit anywhere, did sit, and did wait for at least 10 minutes before being asked for a drink order. By then we knew what we wanted to eat and ordered food at the same time. Apparently others around us were also having a hard time getting service, and were treated rudely by a lady server who told them that she couldn't take their order but would find their server. 
Maybe it was an off day? We were there between lunch and dinner. We'll give it another chance and hope that it was a fluke.

This is a Pub. Remember that. It's not fine dining type seating and menu. So my review is of a pub. Top shelf! Superior spirits and food. I had a Belgium Style brewed here, 10% ABV, 38 Bitterness. It was heaven! Tourist pricing to be expected but not bad. Clean and well built with a great view. Food choices are limited but very good. 
As a pub, this establishment gets 5 stars.

Love this place ❤️!! 
Breakfast burrito is seriously the best ever!! The owners are cool 😎! Quaint place to visit in Idyllwild!! Always good made from scratch food! Hard to find such consistency!!
