The food was absolutely delicious! The French fries were fresh, tasty, and crunchy. The onion rings, thick, tasty, and crunchy as well. The hamburgers were definitely a higher grade of beef, you could taste it. Fair prices for the delicious food. We'll be back!

OMG they have great onion rigs GOOD ICE COLD BEER, i had a delicious char broiled burger AND AMANDA our Server / bartenderwaitress  Is a sweetheart... must visit one a crazy train day she says...then its CRAZY!
Oh yes They have  outdoor patio seating with a BEAUTIFUL VIEW ...for for you city Folk people that need to get away from it all it's kind of nice to go eat somewhere and you can look at green trees and be in the mountains got to come here

The fries and onion rings are spot on! Baby back ribs were good. Prices were good. My dad really liked his eggplant sandwich. I will definitely return when I am in town again.

Great service and delicious burgers!  Onion rings and sweet potato fries are amazing!  Hubby had the jalapeno burger and said it was the best he's ever had.  We'll be back.

Interesting place for Idyllwild for sure. Crazy Train is sort of like a road house bar and grill. Decor is lacking, but the food is amazing and so are the drinks, not to mention the wait staff are pretty darn amazing too.

The name Crazy Train is from the song by the same name from Ozzy Osbourn's best selling album Blizzard of Ozz. As such you can guess certain things about this place. Some customers are more gruff than your average Idyllwild peeps, but it's still Idyllwild, so don't worry about bar fights and such.

Their chili is awesome. The Crazy Train fries are yummy. The fries are crisped well so that the chili doesn't leave them soft and soggy. Which goes to show you, the cooks have brains for sending out food that is perfect. Actually quite impressed with on plate presentation.

Chicken wings. Boy do they ever know how to do these right! Crispy and done. Then they give you a big bowl of sauce so you can dip them to your liking. My wife likes them slathered in sauce and I like them lightly covered. She also enjoyed being able to pour some of the sauce on her side of the fries.

Sunday morning the TV's were on football. It seemed they have regular channels, so local games, plus Red Zone, so you get to see every touchdown of every other game. There is also free WiFi so we setup our tablet to play the game we preferred from a nonlocal market.

One thing that was missing was breakfast. Didn't see any menus for it or anybody eating breakfast.

We will be back for the wings and the chili!

Oh, they have lots of good beers on tap as well (Betty IPA from Hanger 24 for instance).
