It is like taking a step back in time when you step inside Iggy's. My kids and I love the fun decor and the entire atmosphere. To top it off we always get great service and the food is delicious! We usually stop for breakfast and enjoy the scramblers, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. If we happen to stop in the afternoon we make sure to get a shake. No visit to Carthage is complete without a stop at Iggy's!
Delicious food. Good menu variety. Waitress was extremely nice. Nalstogic atmosphere inside makes it a pleasant stop when visiting Carthage. Tried the Spaghetti Red the huge portion was appreciated. It was a nice twist with pickles and onions.
The waitress was having a bad morning so her attitude was very blah. Said she woke up late and hadnt had coffee. The food was pretty good, large portions, good price, decor was over the top Elvis Presley sun faded pictures and Marilyn Monroe .
Neat little place, helped quickly, but the kitchen cook definitely took a short cut somewhere on the County Fried Steak. It looked like, felt like, cut like, fell apart like it was microwaved instead of was fried. We we're both so disappointed with it.Food: 3/5
Diner atmosphere down pat. Food was what I would expected. Nothing fancy, just good breakfast food. Coffee is Farmers and it was good. Lilly, server, was great.
Great diner. Fantastic people! Kid-friendliness: Nice home town atmosphere! Parking: Plenty, easy parking
Service was good. The food was very poor. The atmosphere was depressing. The food was over price. The burger patties tasted frozen and the suzy Q's had seasoning on them. You can get meals cheaper at steak and shake, culvers , wendys and even McDonald's.Food: 1/5
Our server was pleasant and efficient, the best part of our visit. The hashbrowns were a highlight - nice and crispy. They served diet Dr. Pepper, which is always a fav for me and rare at restaurants and the server even gave me a refill in a to-go cup, which was very sweet of her to do. The rest of the food was decent/average diner food the hollandaise sauce was too coagulated and the flavor was "off", however. The vintage decor/look was a treat, but had a very worn out appearrance e.g. you could feel the springs in the lumpy booth seats. The temperature was a bit too chilly for my comfort, and there was something strange with the overall odor...almost a damp antiseptic smell. I wouldn't return, but I didn't leave hungry either...it was just okay.
I have only eaten breakfast there a couple of times, excellent food, wonderful staff, attentive, can't wait to go try dinner. Update July 5th wife and I had late breakfast it's wonderful, the waitress Angel was very energetic, an uplifting. Update Dec 17th food is still as good as the first time we visited. We have bee here numerous times since July ,we met the owner very nice guy.
If you looking for something to eat that is a local mom and pop style food and restraunt while traveling through the area, then Iggy's is a must stop. The old fashion diner feel was spot on, and Rosie gave us great service. The portions left us full, and if they ever make some of there cool Chubby Shirts in a 4X, I might just have to make a trip back down to get one
