I give 4 stars because it took forever to get our food. However when we did finally get it it was delicious. I ordered the bananas foster pancakes...best pancakes I have ever ate! Definitely recommend trying these.

We spent seven days at the Holiday Inn-Front Royal and because it was convenient to IHOP ate there three or four times for breakfast. The service by the wait staff was excellent, courteous, and efficient. Some of the girls at the reception desk left much to be desired. There was never a smile, a hello, thanks for your visit, etc. One of the girls, I usually would not name individuals, but in this case because she (Sara or Sarah) was downright curt, never looking at you, just grasping the check without so much as a hello I decided to do so this time. Perhaps she did not enjoy her work, was tired, bored, etc. I think IHOP can do better than this!

A group of friends and i had been meeting once a week here for a couple of months and everything had gone well. Today however things where horrid. After the drinks and starters came there was more than an hour when we hadn't seen a server or ordered entres. The server got to the table while i was speaking to a "manager." The manager was unhelpful and offered no apology. To her credit the server apologized before walking away while mumbling passive-aggressive platitudes at us then shouting across the dining room.

Has pretty slow service during the day. Most servers seem unmotivated most of the time. Food is amazing.
