This place used to have a lot to offer. Now with Sears on the skids, the only big draw is Target. Even the theater is detached. There is no food court - I wonder if the soda machine or the gumball machine gets better business. Dillard's promises upscale clothes, but on the inside it more closely resembles a poorly run TJMaxx. Walking this mall makes you wonder if you're in a retail establishment or a post-apocalyptic movie set.

This mall has it all! Always crowded! Always something to do! Nowhere I'd rather go. You can have fun with your kids and eat at a plethora of different restaurants. If I had to recommend one place to go in this entire state, it's this mall. You can even buy heavy artillery here, tanks, submarines (sandwiches and the ships), Donald Trump even appears once a week to play some golf in it's 27 hole indoor golf course. Watch out if your at the indoor water park, some kids like to pee in the water, but it's okay it's sterile and tastes good.

Terrible mall that should probably be demolished. Maybe 1/5 of the stores are open with a business. Lots of main stores are closing and leaving. The only two main places are Target and Dillard's. Carbondale options are better and only a 15 minute drive away.

Wow. I used to work in this mall quite a few years ago. It was on a downward slope at that time but never as bad as it was this last visit. It was around the holidays and there were no holiday decorations anywhere in the mall! Absolutely nothing in the food court, not one business in there. It was night time and all the lights were off except for some very dim lights to light the way. It actually seemed as if it could be dangerous to be in there. Something needs done with that place immediately.

The Illinois Star Center Mall is a mall in Marion, Illinois. The mall is losing businesses by the day, but still holds chain businesses like Target and Dillards. It struggles especially after the loss of Sears. People like the length of the mall, because it is good to walk in.
