I visited my very great friend, David Gordon Laws at the Siskiyou Smoke Jumpers Museum at this airfield in Cave Junction Oregon.  Wonderful restoration of this historic site by the men that were stationed here during their days as Smoke Jumpers! Incredible History of the this most dangerous work! I learned about the men and women that worked here, and their equipment and supplies.  Their deployment and the sad day the base (Gobi) closed in 1981! Many thanks for the memories, I will cherish the hospitality of the people of Cave Junction Oregon! God bless them all! We live in Las Vegas!  Dan and Young In Lee
