Indy Reads Books is a great place to relax and unwind with a good book. They also have events every week where you can connect with other readers. The books vary in terms of their condition but they're mostly used. In addition to its selection of new and used titles, the store also showcases work by local Indiana-based writers. The prices of the used books are extremely reasonable ($5-7 on average), and profits from the store's sales go towards adult literacy programs. Highly recommended (and easily the best bookstore in Indy!)

Mostly used stock; highly eclectic but good quality. Media donations accepted; this is the principal destination for volumes I'm done with or simply never got to (or decided that life was too short and my bookshelf was littered with better reads in waiting. Still, to each their own. The stock changes constantly so it's worth frequent visits. If, like me, you still cling to CDs, be sure to check out their offerings, which some kind and thoughtful soul has actually alphabetized (Thank You, kind and thoughtful soul!) I'm told that proceeds support local literacy efforts, so the whole operation is a win-win.

Quaint bookstore that sells new and used books and uses the proceeds to support literacy programs in Indianapolis. Very interesting to visit, hard to walk out empty-handed! :)

The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and the prices are pretty solid, competitive with buying things on Amazon. Their selection varies, as all used bookstores do, but I generally can find something to read every time I'm there. I'm always glad to see what new books they have as well because they get some harder to find gems that you won't see at a Barnes&Noble. Plus, it's all for a good cause! Hands down the best bookstore in the Indy area.

Fun little book store. Lots of items geared towards family and children. Great place to spend an afternoon.
