IndyVet Emergency & Specialty Hospital is a 24-hour veterinary practice “where care comes first.”

Story

Our 22,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility provides resources, technology and skilled staff to diagnose and treat almost any medical, surgical or emergent condition.

Services include: emergency and critical care, surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, radioactive iodine 131 therapy, canine & feline blood bank and donor program, and canine rehabilitation. All pets are seen for emergency or referred problems only.

We are the only AAHA-accredited referral practice in Central Indiana, adhering to the highest quality of standards of veterinary excellence. Only 7% of referral hospitals hold this designation throughout the U.S. and Canada.

IndyVet is located at 5425 Victory Drive, just south and east of the I-465 & South Emerson Avenue interchange, near Beech Grove.

We have had to use them twice in 8 yrs and both times they got our girl in and get her back to feeling like her self asap. Staff was great and put us at easy. Little pricey but, an emergency is an emergency

You will be promised cost of exam $98. They will promise to discuss any further testing beforehand, then they will do the testing and leave you waiting for hours, Charge you $500+ and tell you they will need another $3k-$4k to help your animal. My cat was brought in for liver problems. He wasn't given fluids or pain meds until I asked them to after they informed me they went ahead and ran all the tests and that he wouldn't make it unless they kept him and charged me another arm and leg. Horrible experience.

Traumatic experience!! Will never ever take my pets here or recommend them! Very unprofessional. Only cared about how well educated they were which clearly they proved themselves wrong when the 1 and only test they took was negative. Won't go into the most traumatizing other test but will say that one came back negative as well. They only seem to care about there education level as I said. No compassion, there was one tech that was bluntly rude very hurtful towards us. I hope she loses her job she clearly don't deserve to work in a field that requires passion as well as compassion. They clearly need trained on how to be more professional and for the love of all pets as well as pet owners quit recommending putting them down as the only option and using the pet owner when they are in a fragile state your way of dealing with the easy way out!!!! I'm very outraged of the way it went. The bill was very expensive even though we were willing to pay for whatever it took to save our baby! I have so many regrets! This was just last week by the way!!! So no never again!  Get off your high horse and do your job with passion and sincerity because you actually care! And get rid of the ones that clearly don't belong! I would give zero stars at the end!

My cats needed emergency care but the price quoted to me was out of my budget so they asked me what I could afford and saved my cats within my budget. I'm forever grateful to these people and so are my cats!

We took our boy dog "Mack" to Indy Vet after 2 visits to 2 other vets for a mysterious illness that finally led us to them.  I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff. From the time we checked in, to the final goodbye to our beloved guy, EVERYONE there was exceptional in how they handled Mack and also us!!  That doesn't just happen , that takes sincerely caring individuals that LOVE what they do and it shows!  It is in our most vulnerable times in life that we need compassion the most and Indy Vet delivered everything in a very professional but especially a compassionate way!  We couldn't ask for more and I advise anyone in the same spot as us not to hesitate in trusting your beloved pet will be in the absolute best hands!!
