Innovations 2000 is our unique hair salon serving the general public. Our experienced and fashionable stylists have over 10 years of experience in all areas of hair care. Our hair salon in San Diego CA specializes in caring for and educating our clients in the proper care of their own hair type. We also help clients thinning and bald spots, either with special treatments or weaves to give the areas needed coverage. We do men, women, children. A large percent of our clients are African American but we do all types and textures of hair.

I've been a client of Dee for well over 20 years. I went from curl to weaves to perm to body wave. She is very knowledgeable about the science of hair. She is very direct, honest and open. If there is a problem with your hair she will tell you and she'll offer suggestions and products to help repair the damage or fix the problem. She will not do something to your hair that she feels is bad even if you the client want it. For her, the health of your hair is the most important thing. Some people can't handle directness and honesty, so if that is you, this salon may not be the place for you. But if you want someone who knows hair and has "growing hands" this is the place for you. I trust both Dee and Dru with my daughter, granddaughters and my own hair. They are both wonderful ladies.

This place is wonderful. The ladies here are kind and very professional. I get my hair done evey 2 weeks. I love my hair. Its growing, smells good, and they do great weaves. So for the woman, come by and get your hair polished.

I was discouraged from coming here because the hair styles look somewhat out-dated (the early 80s and 90s). Baby hair side burns? "Mixed" or "good" hair?? I found the language in some of the pictures surprising for it to be 2017/2018. Hopefully I can see more Black Diegan stylists promote course edges and hair as is. Especially on youth Black girls. I have what people call "4C" hair and I enjoy a blow out from time to time, but I would have no intentions on looking caucasian or "mixed" to get beautified. I hope other Black women know this is not necessary either. No harm. Just a thought. I hadn't had an experience here, but I didn't know how else to provide feedback on the marketing of the services.

I thoroughly enjoyed the service and my experience at Innovations 2000 Hair Salon. Drusill was professional, sweet, and my hair came out so silky smooth! The shop is nice and clean and there was good conversation. I'm new to San Diego and glad I found this place! 5 Stars! 😊

The peopme were nice. You all should have something posted that lets people know that you do not accept credit cards. To finish someone's hair and then tell them is not a good business practice. To  have them to walk to a liquor store while their identification is being held hostage to get cash is just not right.
