Just so u know, unpublished online, they are closed lunchtime and Sign reads, u must have an appointment. So wasted trip for me. Please government give us better service as we pay what is asked, not less. I don't want to wait forever on phone to get an appointment

I had to prove my identity for the IRS to process my 2015 tax fling that I needed for school. Ok this is hard enough as I may not get to go to school because of this. I went to the appointment as scheduled and proved my identity. I understand it will be weeks before my tax return is processed, I asked for a receipt to prove I made the appointment and was met with rude and heartless denial of my simple request. There was no way to give me ANYTHING stating that I made this appoinment. I explained that I needed to at least show the school that I am doing what I can to meet their requirements. Didn't matter, the woman was adamant that she could do nothing for me. I am now trying to find out how to file a complaint to the IRS about this treatment.
