I’ve lived at Interurban coming up on two years and my experience has been nothing but awesome. The building itself is so beautiful. Exposed brick, concrete floors, hardwood floors. Huge windows and amazing views. Because of the concrete I almost never hear my neighbors. The staff is so friendly and communicative when there are changes and issues that may arise in the area. The area itself is SUPER walkable. Two Starbucks, CVS, a pretty well stocked grocery store Berkeley’s Market, a ton of restaurants, a farmers market, two bus stations, three train stations, the Dallas Central Public Library, a dog park, two museums, my dentists office were all within walking distance. The gym in the building isn’t great but you get a discount to Cowboy fit which is literally right next door and there is a planet fitness that is about a 6 min drive away. Honestly you don’t even really need a car staying here but there is a secure parking garage with only one incident I’m aware of since I’ve been here minor accident. It’s almost always full but if you can get in I say go for it! I hate to leave
I absolutely love this unit. It has an amazing view. I chose this building because of the location and the safey of having security around. Also the staff is great, they have gone above and beyond to make me feel at home and assist me with any questions or concerns.
Lived here since February and I love it. I switched to a larger apartment in May and the process was super simple. The maintenance team is amazing and have been super helpful with all of our maintenance requests. The prices are very fair for unique industrial lofts especially with the prices of much smaller lofts nearby. Like any apartment complex, you are going to have some problems, but they've done an overall good job of addressing issues. Some examples within the last year: - When the AC system started malfunctioning they went ahead and replaced the system. It took some trials, but then again we're experiencing record heat in Dallas and an overextended power grid - Parking was hellish as in person work resumed for AT&T offices nearby. Interurban worked with AT&T and there are now designated parking spaces for Interurban residents. Any issues with the garage isn't Interurban's fault as its owned by AT&T To be improved on: - There are some pet owners who are irresponsible: dogs peeing in building and not cleaning it up etc. - The pool does need to be cleaned more often as the recent storms have made the pool unusable on some of the hottest days. However issues with the hot tub not being warm in May were promptly fixed by June. - David can be a bit standoffish at first, but he is friendly with residents
AMAZING staff and maintenance team. Very attentive and quick to respond. Always have a positive attitude. David at the front desk has been so helpful during my move as well. If you can get in, it’s a wonderful place to live. Historic building so it has character and very New York style vibes. Hard to come by in the Midwest.
I’ve lived here for 3 months, and it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a complex and a staff. I love Greystar properties in general, but this one in particular. The building is over 100 years old, it’s expected to have issues here and there, but the maintenance team is the best I’ve ever had. Beyond being on top of everything, they’re the nicest guys. David has never been anything but helpful & responsive. The property manager is also one of the best I’ve encountered- she’s never given me the run around or made me feel like my issues were not important to her, as she has helped me personally a few times. Having lived in 7 different apartments, I love this place.
Overall lacking apartment complex. Lived here for a year to try out city life. Only bright spot is the maintenance team. Below are observations of how Interurban and their management operate: It is a historical building with an outdated AC system that constantly has issues or goes out. The system runs for days before a low temp is achieved, not great for hot Texas summers or for utility bills Upon move in, I was not provided with any information or assistance. More or less left out to dry. Unfortunately, many verbal descriptions of the apartment I rented were inaccurate between the floor plan I toured and the unit I ended up receiving. Mailing is treated as not their issue. Every delivery has been a headache and they take a hands off approach so staff is rarely helpful. They have amazon delivery lockers but they don't fit every package so package are usually be left on the floor of the community room Pool and hot tub wasn't clean or maintained for half the year, essentially unusable Be sure to keep a good track of your lease expiration as they use a 60 day notice to vacate and will extend you at an increased rate until the 60 day threshold is met. They claim to send reminders but they are ineffective. Most end up in spam folders or come from a different email address than the standard apartment address. Management is rarely in the office, are hard to reach, and unhelpful. The most extreme occurrence was being put on hold during a discussion with the manager and never being taken off or even having a returned phone call. Interurban left much to be desired. I originally moved here because it was a decent deal and had 'personality'. If you are considering this for a downtown apartment, it should be treated as a budget option. That being said, after all the extra parking, utilities, convenience fees, it didn't feel very budget. Just go to a newer apartment complex and save the headache
Lived here for 6 months! The buildings aesthetics are amazing and I always received compliments on how cool my apartment is from friends. I was originally hesitant to live in this area of town, but with the AT&T discovery district, 4&5 star hotels one street north, the farmers market a few blocks east, and the growing east quarter…. it is a fun and walkable area. AT&T owns the building and does an incredible job and has 24/7 security outside the building and inside the building after hours..so I felt safe. I also loved the cowboys fit connected to the building downstairs. Quick drive to uptown and deep ellum, and fun walkable places nearby. I had a great experience and will definitely miss living in my fun loft:
There is but one thing that will make me leave InterUrban, and that is when I buy again! The management here is unbelievable! They truly, truly care about their residents. The living experience here is stellar. Maintenance responds promptly to requests, the floors are mopped constantly, as well as trash in the trash rooms or just rogue trash is also handled in a very timely manner. Bottom line, this building stays clean. The security is through AT&T, and they are all very respectful and helpful to the residents and do a fantastic job in maintaining our security. I like that they are stationed at different areas in the building and they walk the premises. Point being, there is a sense of safety and security here, as well the AT&T security is a great deterrent to nonsense, which is great since this is my home. I’m actually going on record to say that this is by far the best apartment overall that I’ve ever lived in. Mic drop.
I liked living here. I love the feel of the old building, the loft apartments, the pool area. Management asked me to pay extra months rent when I moved out. Since they couldn't provide a signed contract indicating I had ever acknowledged or accepted their conditions, I left without paying a penalty. Getting into a unit by subletting is a great way to feel out if this building is for you.
I love this building and my beautiful apartment! The staff is so helpful and my experience has been so personal. I'm also amazed at how well designed my apartment is. I have a studio and was concerned that it might be cramped or cluttered but the space is designed so efficiently that it's absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change anything about it. The location is also fantastic. I love that Cowboys Fitness is right downstairs, Royal Blue and CVS are just around the corner and the AT&T Discovery District is visible from my apartment. I will definitely renew my lease, when it's up.
