Iowa Homeland Security & Emergency Management

"The department leads, coordinates, and supports homeland security and emergency management functions. This includes preparing and executing the emergency management and homeland security programs of this state subject to the direction of the Governor. The director is responsible for preparing a statewide comprehensive plan and emergency management program for homeland security, disaster preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, emergency operation, and emergency resource management."
