The Islamic Center of Davis is a non-profit, religious organization that serves the best interest of Islam and Muslims in Davis.
The Islamic Center of Davis is a volunteer run organization which prides itself on a diversity in nationalities and age groups. The mosque was founded in 1982 by a group of students of humble means and diverse origins. As the community grew, so did the need for a larger, more modern facility. Under the leadership of President Othman Alsaoud, the masjid raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through an aggressive campaign of fundraising at mosques around the country. The old facility was demolished in 2005, and the new one erected in it's place within 4 years.
