The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because driving 30 minutes to get there from McFarland is a journey but then again it's all about the destination. I have had their fish fry over a dozen times and every time it's consistently good, no exceptions, the coleslaw not too sweet not runny, the batter on the deep fried cod is lightly seasoned, not greasy, not too thick more of a tempura batter, the fish is a good solid piece that you can actually pick up and dip in your tartar if you care to, it won't fall apart, it's not slimy, not fishy, not greasy. The baked potato is baked to perfection with quality sour cream, a tasty soft marble rye accompanied by softened butter, a must when trying to spread on the bread, it seriously can't be beat. The owner, Jim has an outgoing personality, good character with a great sense of humor with integrity, he takes pride in his establishment and all the food he serves, the wait staff is on top of it, knowledgeable, observant, experienced and especially friendly, they leave any bad attitudes at home, you are the center of their attention. I am looking forward to his barbecued ribs soon to be offered on Wednesday nights with it a Southwest Mesquite rub that can't be beat

Newly remodeled. Right on Rock River. Great stop while on Koshkonong!

Typically visited from the river by boat which is fun, but should be a go to from land as well. Great beer choices, an engaged hard working owner, great food, and live bands at least in summer.

Great little hideaway bar. Food was good. Staff very friendly and engaging. We will be back.
