I didn't expect renting a moped to be so much fun, but it really was! It's easier to split the price with two people (and be sure to check their website for a coupon) but I will warn you that driving two people takes a bit more time to get the hang of rather than just driving yourself. I was wobbling all over the road with my passenger for a bit but they give you great training so I truly appreciated that.

Block island itself is a fun place to start the summer. We took mopeds from this rental store for 50 aprox per bike. Service was good and the staff was friendly. We got orange moped and matching helmets.

Great staff, so helpful and polite.  Gave us a good price and we had a great day exploring all the nooks and crannies of The Block.  We give them a 4.5.  The only thing that brought this rating down was that the vw bug was a little worn, but given that cars have to be brought across on a ferry, there's not much they can do given their short tourist season.

Riding a moped takes some practice.  But it's fun when you get the hang of it.
You cannot go everywhere.  There are some dirt or sandy roads you cannot take the bike on.
 Its the best way to see the island unless you are hiking the 30 something miles of trails
 The bike is only going to go about the speed limit which is 25.
 It's fun and adventurous; you really get to see the nooks and crannies.
 There's a little storage in the bike for a backpack or a bag
 There's a lot of other walking to do. Get the bike.
 1 hour is the least expensive.  Don't do it.  Bite the bullet: we wanted to see north and south so we did all day.  120 or so per bike.  You can double up though.  1 hour is great if you just drive the island and come back.  You'll need more if you visit the beaches, ponds, lighthouses etc.
 The guys who work there have to get you riding and gone in less than 5 minutes so....give them a break?

This place is ok.. briefly taught me how to ride the moped then send me on my way ... wasn't really ready but I worked it out.. Had to bring my pink moped back because it wouldn't pick up speed.. Quick switch & im was back on the road.. Wish the had more mopeds to choose from & I wish they were in better condition. . All in all it didn't break down on me so im not complaining. . Lil pricey but had lots of fun on it..
