This place has great scenic lake views during the spring, a nearby store to get the things you may have forgotten, free showers at the upper sites and nice people at the gate entrance BUT! We came here during spring break (last week of March) and it was horrible. The place is supposed to be quiet from 10:00pm to 6:00am but people just play loud music till 3:00am. One group had a PA system speaker blasting their music like it was a concert. The park rangers look fresh out of high school and do nothing to stop them and are only there during the day so after 10:00pm it’s like a free for all to do as they please. Plus the ladies rest room lock was broken so the women needed someone to stand guard. I paid for three nights there and left after the second night because of all the idiots staying there. If you want a peaceful place to camp this is NOT the place for you. I won’t be coming back. Picture shows how crammed in people are.

Thought we’d give it a chance... thought wrong! Paid for 3 nights and left after 2. Obnoxious people playing their music all day and as loud as they wanted. People coming in to set up camp all hours of the night and some only coming through to visit from 4am-6am. Definitely not a place to come to for rest and relaxation unless you like to hear generators running constantly, squeezed into sites like sardines and again loud people along with their loud music. Never again will I visit the Ozarks/Tijuana!

This is mostly mobile homes, with petmante residents. There may be a few in a lower area to accommodate a pull on trailer and charged by the night.

We go every summer, the boat launch is right there. Kinda hard to get a good spot to set up base camp. Gotta get there early and bring a 4x4
