The goal of the Islip Animal Shelter is to enforce animal control measures needed to protect the health, safety, and welfare of Islip residents while promoting animal welfare. The shelter houses stray and abandoned animals and makes every effort to have as many of those animals adopted as is possible. A dedicated, compassionate staff of employees and volunteers facilitates this process. We encourage you to adopt and save the live of an adorable, loving animal.
We are a low-kill shelter and our goal is to bring animals in off the streets and get them healthy, happy, and into homes.
