Great prices and nice jobs ladies. Friendly stylists just get there early in the morning or during the weekdays. Weekends tends to be busy

Went in today to have my little girls first blow out today. The ladies were so friendly and I was in and out within 35 minutes ... Amazing quality work. Can't help but to rate it a 5. I deffinatley will be coming back !

As soon as I walked in...you could hardly breathe because there was so much smoke from hair. The windows were even fogged up. I watched a few ladies do some clients hair..I was immediately concerned. There was a young African American girl who got her hair done...and it looked like the girl could have done that at at home by herself. It looked really bad, I didn't catch the name of that stylist, but she has the first chair when you walk into the shop. I wanted to leave because I felt they were using way to much heat on EVERYONE's hair. My sister assured me the stylist we would have does not use as much heat. Well, she at least didn't use 5 different steps. One common thing I kept seeing is that people would get washed, conditioned (if you paid extra for it), roller set, sit under the dryer, then a blow dry, then a flat iron. That process is entirely unnecessary and excessive heat. I am glad to say my stylist of the day (last chair in the row) did the usual- wash, condition (I paid extra), blow dry and flat iron. Though, I felt the heat was entirely to high. The end result was very nice. Straight, shiny and clean. After two weeks I washed it...and it would not curl at all!!!  So two things 1. Heat damage 2.Chemical. I don't know if they add relaxer or relaxer like chemicals to their products for people with natural Afro hair, but they definitely use WAY TO MUCH HEAT!! So I strongly recommend that if you have natural afro hair and want to  keep it healthy, that you steer clear of this shop all together.  I was from out of state so I didn't have anything else to go on...but after being there and seeing the long term effects of this shop on my hair, I cannot advise people with Afro natural hair go here. The people are really nice, but they don't know how to handle this hair type. I say my stylist and the lady next to her (last 2 chairs) were the best in the shop that I seen. If you have a relaxer, they do great. Natural hair, DO NOT GO HERE!!!- This is the Hopewell location.
