I recently started eating here before getting on CalTrain. Nothing fancy, but I gave it five stars because it does what it sets out to do with excellence.

I usually eat food from the steam table: Start with rice or noodles (several varieties) then add one or more entrees. They seem to have at least two vegetarian entrees when I go there, so that makes me happy. 

The food tastes good, although it is steam table food, it does NOT seem like it's been sitting there for hours/days. The egg roll was great. 

I'm glad to have found this; as a vegetarian I was turned off by the BBQ name, but was pleased to see they have vegetarian options.

Hole in the wall, right next to Menlo Park Cal Train station. Went on a Friday at 6pm. Meal was cooked fresh to order, as I ordered off the Hawaiian BBQ menu. Abundance of line styled Chinese food, about 2 dozen entrees to choose from, if you are strapped for time. Price is reasonable, $8.25 for the box in the photo. You're not paying for presentation, rather substance and a warm meal. I was a bit surprised to taste the sauce at the self-help area was soy sauce and not Teriyaki sauce.

Really really really good food!
I'm a very picky eater and don't like greasy , untasty food. This place is just right for my taste. They offer very big portions( I eat half at lunch and half at the dinner time..it is really good even cold).
I'm from Europe and I appreciate the quality of food not the quantity but this place meets both. It's  the first place I've eaten so good since I came in the US.
Good job guys!

Family and I have been coming here for years. Portions on the Chinese plates at A1 always fill the plates up. The Hawaiian BBQ menu is also just amazing. Everything taste good. It's cheap and the workers are dope all and all a great place to grab food
