As a General Contractor, we are able to provide all construction services including Kitchen Remodel, Bathroom Remodel, Whole House Remodel, New Construction, Additions and Cabinets. The goal of our company is to make sure the construction process is enjoyable and successful for our clients with an optimum blend of expertise and dedicated staff.

J & J completed our kitchen renovation and it is beautiful! We received several quotes and the price was not the lowest but reasonable and it is a small family owned business. Robert and Mike were genuine, personable, and professional as were the subs that were used. They were very accommodating to last minute add-ons and my nit-picking of details. Super easy to work with and nice work, will hire them again for future projects.

We cannot even begin to explain what a wonderful experience we had with J&J Quality Construction.  We interviewed five contractors - some bids were higher, some lower, but we got a fabulous feeling about this family run operation.  From the appointments which they were always on time for, to the final product of our new kitchen and office, they were incredible.  The construction professionals working in my home were respectful and always cleaned up at the end of the day...on time, on budget and communicating along way any changes or challenges!  I would recommend J&J Quality Construction to anyone who wants a quality product!  Thank you for our beautiful kitchen.

I have an almost hundred year old house with small closets and not enough bathrooms, so I wanted to create a master suite with a bathroom.  J&J Quality incorporated everything I wanted into the plans and gave great suggestions to improve on my hazy idea of what the project could be.  We converted a large bedroom and the two small closets between it and the master into a bathroom, nursery, and two large walk-in closets.  The guys at J&J Quality were so helpful, accessible, kind, and honest that in all my future projects, I will always go to them.  They used their great knowledge to trouble shoot problems that are bound to surprise you with old houses, and field permitting and tower district aesthetic limitations.  They pay a great attention to detail to make sure all their work is quality and showed great courtesy to me as their customer and someone who had to live with the adventure of construction on my bedroom while eight and nine months pregnant.

I want to start off by saying I feel bad for leaving this review, because the owners are very nice people. Also, I apologize in advance for how ridiculously long this review is. As a pre-cursor, my husband and I are very detail-oriented people, so what bothered us may not bother other people. 

I hired J&J's for the remodel of 3 bathrooms (2 hall baths and a master bath). They were the 2nd most expensive, out of 3 quotes we got. I thought we would be pretty safe going with the middle price range, and I got a good vibe from Robert when he came to give us the quote. Below are the Pros and Cons we experienced while working with them: 

Pros:
- Finished all 3 bathrooms.
- All 3 bathrooms ended up looking good overall. 
- Everything we pointed out to them, they attempted to rectify. 

Cons:
- Not all materials were included in the initial quote, like cement boards underneath tile on second floor, towel bars, and toilet paper holders. I assumed everything would be covered in the $30k quote. 

- Not good at communication, and inconsistent with start times. They started off saying they would start at 7:30am. Then some days they weren't there until noon, and some days not at all. It makes a difference if my dogs are going to be cooped up in a bedroom all day for nothing. 

- Switched tile installers after the 2nd bathroom without notifying me, or having me sign a consent form. They were very obviously not as good as the first installers, so quality of work went downhill for the master bathroom. We got crooked grout lines, level changes with each tile, a couple tilted tile pieces. 

- One of the tile installers from the second company thought it was okay to play my husband's guitar without asking. My husband walked into the house while he was playing with it. 

- We needed to point out many things to Robert that were not up to par with our standards, and should not have been up to par for them either. But his excuse was that "everybody's level of expectation is a little bit different. We aim to please all of our customers not just have one level of acceptance for installations". Sounds like they assume their customers aren't going to notice small things, and will wait for the customer to say something before fixing it. When they SHOULD use the highest quality of work for all their customers no matter what, and from the beginning. Some examples: 

- Light fixtures off-center; 
- Sinks leaking (twice);
- Tub faucets loose; 
- Tile installation uneven in the master bathroom;
- Paint lines crooked and some white spots on walls;
- Outlet covers cut to fit when they should have moved the outlets up so the whole cover could fit around them;
- Outlet covers cut crooked;
- New glass installation had messy silicone. 

- They didn't clean after they were done. New tile floors were dirty, paint splatter all over the counter and sinks, goopy stuff around drains, shower tiles still had pencil marks on them from the install (large X's that wouldn't come off with an eraser, nail polish remover, or alcohol). Again, I had to specifically ask them to fix/clean. 

- I would have preferred someone who could offer suggestions on design choices since they have so much more experience than us instead of needing to figure everything out ourselves. I at least thought they would have a catalog for us to choose from, or a specific distributor they work with. But they just gave us a blank excel spreadsheet and told us to write down what we want them to order (whether it's from Amazon, Home Depot, etc.). Even when I asked what they thought between two products, they told me they would both look good. It seemed like they didn't want to get blamed for any bad choices.

We are very happy and pleased with our 3 newly updated bathrooms that J and J Quality Construction did for us this spring.  Everyone of the subcontractors that came into our home was professional, reliable and friendly.  We wouldn’t hesitate to use J and J Quality Construction for future renovation projects.
